Extracts the colors from an image to be vectorized.


Select the color vectorizing method from the vectorization palette:


Select the extraction tool from the palette and click in the color zones of the image to be vectorized. The preview window will show a simulation of the vectorization using the colors in the list

Manual extraction of colors to be vectorized.
Using the extraction tool, click on the colors of the image to be vectorized to add them to the list of colors to be vectorized.
If a close color match already exists in the list, you will hear a beep and the color will not be added. If you would like to add it to the list anyway, hold the Option or Alt key () down when you click on the image. If you would like to adjust the color in the list to the average color, hold the shift key down while clicking on the image.

Coulors:

When extracting automatically, specifies the maximum number of colors to be extracted, the program defining the list of colors itself.
In automatic mode, the software itself determines the number of colors to be extracted.

Adds a new color to the list and displays the color picker dialog.
Removes the selected color/s.
To remove colors without displaying the warning message, hold the Option or Alt key () down while clicking on the button.

Comments:
When extracting automatically, the colors are sorted from the most frequent to the least frequent in the image.
To modify a color using the color picker dialog, double click on it in the list.
You can add colors to the list from the swach book, the swach libraries, or the fill or stroke color icons by dragging the colors from the Illustrator palette and dropping them into the Silouette color list.
